Welcome
Hello! My name is Marie Vicksta and I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a MS in Conservation Biology and Sustainable Development in May 2009. My academic interests are in human-wildlife conflict, resource management, and geography.
I have created the Wisconsin Wolf Pack Mapper which is a visualization tool for outreach about the recovery of the wolf population in Wisconsin and the conflicts that result between this growing population and the people that they share the land with.
Also please take a look at 2009 Wolf Policy Survey Results. This survey was sent to residents of the Wisconsin gray wolf population range and members of the Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
